Hello first blog attempt!
If you’re new to having your stoma you can find helpful advice from the following links.

http://www.urostomyassociation.org.uk/

http://www.iasupport.org/

A particular page which I think is useful too is what I’ve linked below. It’s a list of hospitals, clinics and stoma nurses names and contact numbers.

A lovely letter.

July 10th 2015

Here at Ainsworth Surgical Supplies we always try our best to help anyone we can, and we all love feedback and thanks.

Recently we received a phone call from a gentleman, who was travelling with his wife, from Devon to Scotland for the weekend. He was concerned due to the fact that his wife, an ostomist, had left behind some supplies which she needed whilst away. He found our number by chance on the internet and, after having no luck with local chemists, decided to give us a call. We were able to supply enough to cover for the weekend, which meant the couple could continue with their journey!

The couple came and collected the supplies from us and were really grateful.

At the beginning of the week, a card arrived in the post with a thank you note inside from the lady mentioned above. It read;

To all the staff,
I would just like to say a HUGE “THANK YOU” to Ainsworth Surgical Supplies for saving me a disappointing journey back to Devon and missing an event in Scotland which was important to us. I had rang every chemist in the area but stoma supplies are very few and far between. Whilst I was ringing the Colostomy Association Helpline, my husband found you on my IPad & you were able to provide me with the kit I desperately needed, so enabling us to complete our journey. I will be writing to the Colostomy Association with my story [they love things like this] and I will sing your praises – you were wonderful!!
Thank you once again,
Donna A.’

I on behalf of everyone at Ainsworth’s would like to thank Donna for these kind words. It really makes the job worthwhile to have such lovely feedback. We would like to wish Donna all the best and if we can ever help again we will.
