How easy is it to change supplier?

Very easy! All you have to do is give us a ring on 0800 413 172 and register yourself with us. We’ll contact your surgery and all the relevant people involved.

Is there someone I can talk to if I have a problem?

With being independent one of the bonuses is not having to deal with a call centre. When you phone us we answer. You’ll always speak to one of our office staff who will be happy to help and advise you. Come and have a chat 0800 413 172.

How do I order?

You can order via our free phone number 0800 413 172 and speak to a member of the team, or you can email via the website or using the email address enquiries@ainsworthsurgical.co.uk.

If you’re attached to a prescription service please ask them to send the prescription to us. They will then set you up with us. *useful numbers link*

If you obtain the prescription yourself from your GP please ask for pre-paid envelopes and we’ll happily send these out to you. Contact us

Can you still deliver if I move address outside the North West?

Yes of course, we would love to keep your custom. We deliver nationally. We might not be able to send our drivers but we have a very reliable courier service which delivers next day.

Will you cut my pouches out?

Yes all we need is your size or the template. This can be obtained from your nurse or posting us the plastic peel from the pouch with your name attached. We have 2 cutting machines as well as hand cutting.

Do you know that we do more than just cut? – We customise pouches in many ways from attaching your 2 piece system to cutting off fabric of the pouch. Please ask us for further info on 0800 413 172.

How long do I leave it before ordering?

We recommend that you have 10-14 days’ supply in hand before placing your order. This gives us plenty of time to obtain your prescription and customise your order to your requirements. We do try and deliver within 48 hours of receipt of your prescription.

Can I receive emergency supplies?

Yes it is quite common for you to have bad days with dealing with a stoma. Sometimes you go through your stock quicker than you normally do. In this event please call us as soon as possible. We have a better chance of sorting this the earlier we hear in the day.

If this occurs out of hours please leave a message on our answer machine 0800 413 172 and we will act on this immediately upon our return.

Do I need to be in to receive my order?

No. We are able to leave your delivery somewhere safe under your instruction. We will post a note to advise we’ve delivered.

I have unwanted stock what do I do?

We can collect any old products that you no longer require. We send these to a charity that helps 3rd world countries so nothing is wasted.
